So, it's yet another curtailed week of
Countdown this week, as thanks to the Grand National, we're restricted to 3 episodes...
Our new champion is John Parke, who managed to conquer 5-time champion Sean Cooke on Friday, but we might still see him for the finals in June, with him currently the #4 seed....
Tim Vine is in DC today and tomorrow, before Alistair McGowan returns on Wednesday.

Hmm went for DUPIONS but there is a valid anagram of that and another 7 in R1.

Bizarre numbers solve by Rachel at the end. If you're going to do 27×7 then it's 100-75+10/5 or 100-75+10-8. If you're going to start with 100+75, you might as well then add 14. 7×10/5 or 10+5-8+7.

What kind of drugs is Tim on during his anecdotes? Judging from today's darts-related one they do seem to permit him to do maths quickly.

I think she just wanted to do something a bit silly after all the somewhat annoying misses in the numbers games today. She held back well from mentioning 19x50 in the previous one after all!
What I thought was strange was how both contestants stuck with 2 large when they were not very successful at it! Personally I find that the hardest choice, but then yeah I know it wasn't me playing.
