The defeat was immoral.

It's for the quarter finals! I'm not sure whether to read anything into the fact that you keep associating me with semis... :?

FECKER was there as an alternative Callum beater (though not the max) in round 10.

Or HEIFER, or even CHIEFER (if there's still a one syllable rule).

A few of us noticed at the time of filming, didn't think it would make it to air though!

Brilliant episode. Well done Callum :) I didn't see the easy way for the last numbers round either lol.

I said...
3*50=150
7-2=5
150-5=145
145*4=580

The VD comment from Rachel at the first round was funny too.

It was indeed. I wasn't aware that that abbreviation was still in common usage; the most recent use of it that I can remember is in a Friends episode from the first series.

To be honest, I didn't know what it meant until I googled it as soon as I saw it  At first, I just guessed that it was sex related or something lol.

It's an age thing, Dave. VD as a term hasn't really been around since the 1980s. Don't you remember? STD became the preferred term then (rightly so), as it encompassed all sexually transmitted diseases, not just those contracted by women.

At about the same time touch-tone telephones were coming out and I'm sure they also used something called STD (Standard Tone Dialling); I'm sure there was a joke in A Very Peculiar Practice about it, which reminds me, I should watch that again.
