I would just like to point out that from my position I was perfectly placed to tell how Paul Zenon did that "vooloo" trick. I won't tell you yet, as that wouldn't be any fun.

Re: Spoilers for Monday, 10th November
This is my first day on the forum while watching the show... what fun!
And to have it marked by a shirtless trickster is a sure fire way I'll remember it!

I bet Carol will think again, before saying "I will have to hurry you"

Well done Martin.
I suspect you will become an octochamp, you're a consistent player.

He changed the cards over behind Carol's back, right? Or the card had two faces to it?Martin Bishop wrote:I would just like to point out that from my position I was perfectly placed to tell how Paul Zenon did that "vooloo" trick. I won't tell you yet, as that wouldn't be any fun.

Re: Spoilers for Monday, 10th November
I had a DC beater with PETALOID in round 3 and a couple of nice equallers in round 7 with DOYENNE and ENDNOTE. I reckon he turned the sign over and had already had the cross written. It looked a bit dodgy (and why else should Carol have to do it behind her back?). The cross was ever so neat for someone struggling to write behind her back. The card was turned - QED. Am I right?
And why is REROUTED hyphenated? Grrrr

Yeah, these were the only two maximums that I missed too (only had LOGIER round 1 - never heard of JOWLIER) - I think me and thee are on the same wavelength David.David O'Donnell wrote:I had the same risk and only had GWEILO in round 1.Kirk Bevins wrote: And why is REROUTED hyphenated? Grrrr

As in there isn't a JOWLIER insurance hound than Churchill? GWEILO is a quality word, as is Jen Stefani.Kirk Bevins wrote:...never heard of JOWLIER...

I guess Jon's more right, infuriatingly so, by adding in that the pen doesn't work.Jon Corby wrote:Yeah, pen that doesn't write, card already with cross on.
I noticed (albeit far too late) that BIGPRONKS is a clue to the conundrum, as pronking is a jump done by a springbok. Are such clues unusual? I can't recall any similar instances.

Jono and I came up with a few, including WATERSPIN and GREATSKIN, and another which I won't mention since (by coincidence) it appears on the show fairly soon.Martin Bishop wrote:I noticed (albeit far too late) that BIGPRONKS is a clue to the conundrum, as pronking is a jump done by a springbok. Yay I got both of them. The first has taken me many hours to lodge into my brain how to spot it - hard to spot otherwise I feel.Charlie Reams wrote:Jono and I came up with a few, including WATERSPIN and GREATSKIN, and another which I won't mention since (by coincidence) it appears on the show fairly soon.Martin Bishop wrote:I noticed (albeit far too late) that BIGPRONKS is a clue to the conundrum, as pronking is a jump done by a springbok.
