Friday 2nd October 2015 (Series 73, Prelim 64)

Post by Anthony Endsor »

Hello and welcome to another Friday recap. :) Well what a week we have seen. Thomas Carey gracefully departed after becoming an Octochamp, and as things stand is currently number 1 seed. Will he stay there until the end of the series? He'll be hoping not to know the answer to that question for a little while. But there are plenty who would love to dethrone him. One of those is current champion Matt Le Tissier, a former Premier League footballer and now a pundit for Sky Sports, well known amongst many in the Countdown community. With 2 wins so far, David Pople stands in his way today. Enjoy.

The answer was REDUNDANT.
Final Score: 86–38 (max 127)

The conundrum was REDUNDANT as we looked for a winner in this game.

So Matt Le Tissier gets his 3rd win. He's looked good throughout and will surely be looking to advance much further next week. Has he got what it takes to become an Octochamp? Join Andy McGurn on Monday to see if he can get his 4th win. Horseracing has once again hijacked my spot next week, so I'll be back on Friday 16th October. I hope you will join me then. In the meantime, thank you very much for reading, and goodbye. :)
