Friday 23rd January 2015 (Series 72, Prelim 15)

Post by Anthony Endsor »

Hello and welcome to another Friday recap. :) Sorry it is late this week but it has been a slightly busy weekend.
Earlier in the week we welcomed back one of our most prominent apterites, a regular in the audience and very well known to most of the Countdown community. And no, it wasn't me  It was in fact Tracey Mills. Yes Tracey made her long awaited grand entrance on Wednesday and successfully overcame a tough challenge from fellow apterite Neil Stephenson, and then yesterday won her second game. So today she is looking for her third win. Will she succeed? Keith Taylor stands in her way. Enjoy.

C2: Challenger Keith Taylor. An acting sub post master from Rochdale. Bridge player, loves taking part in amateur dramatics.

RR: Rachel Riley.

Round 15: T Y R E F O R C E

Tracey buzzes on 3 seconds to say REFECTORY which is correct.

Final Score: 97–37 (max 121)

So Tracey gets her 3rd win in some style. Keith Taylor never really got going in this game and was always up against it as Tracey played brilliantly throughout. Not quite a century but Tracey is well settled into the champions chair now and will be confident going into next week. Will she go all the way and be an Octochamp? Join Andy McGurn on Monday to see if she can get to the half way point. I'll be back next Friday. Will this be Tracey's Octochamp crowning game or will she have been beaten by then? I hope you'll join me to find out. Until then thank you very much for reading, and goodbye. :)
