Application blocked

Every time I log in to Apterous now it comes up with an error stating:

"Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running"

I googled this and changed my java settings (through control panel) to "low" and it warned against this....but it *still* won't let me in. Rowell suggests I uninstall the latest update to Java but I've not updated it recently I don't think and I managed to get in earlier today but after it kicked me off I couldn't return.

Any ideas? Should I uninstall Java and reinstall?
