So, it's been a weekend of many highs, the brilliance of COEDI 2, topped off by the MAX GAME of Innis Carson in the final , but tinged with sadness at the end, because of poor Rachel's cruel exit from Strictly Come Dancing.

Ah well, maybe good old Countdown can cheer me up.

Alan Young has 2 wins out of 2, and will be looking to win most of the shows during this week, if he's to have any dreams of making the finals next month.

Mark Foster will be in DC today and tomorrow, before Alistair McGowan takes over on Wednesday.

Graeme will be in recapping mode later.

I got that, but missed WARHORSE (and tried HINGIEST in round 5 )

Also thought I had MEDJOOL in round 4, was sure it was in before.......... (Does sound odd, I know, as it's normally a type of date.)

Nope, come back in a week's time. Until then, I'm sticking with the bizarre date of Christmas Eve.

I'm almost certain it's 20th December - there are 6 prelims left to film before the finals (presumably to be broadcast 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th and 11th December), and then there'll be 7 shows for finals (so QFs would be 12th, 13th, 16th and 17th; SFs on 18th and 19th; the final on the 20th).
