We're at another potential coronation day here on Countdown (they seem to be happening a lot on Tuesdays, don't they?). Bradley Cates, after winning 3 games as an 11 year old, is on the verge of becoming an octochamp at age 18. More than likely a win would put Bradley at number 4 on the leader board, a loss would keep him at number 5. It also would cement Bradley's place amongst one of the best non-apterite contestants in recent memory, though that's probably true already. Can he do it? There's only one thing standing in his way. Unless this person completely lied to me, which I don't see why they would, the person known on apterous as Horace Horlicks will get a chance to stop Bradley from reaching the promised land. What will happen?

(50 + 25) x 10 + (8 x (4+5)) = 822. All the numbers in order too

Not sure if Tom had any 7s other than Mohairs, but if he did then it was foolish not to go with a certain word like marches. Oh well, Bradley was a better player imo, and congrats to him on becoming octochamp

Well, the Facebook Horace is clearly Irish - though thinking about it Conlon is quite a common name in Ireland

Yeah, it's def the same person. I had a good stalk of his page a while back and he was on about applying for countdown etc-plus you can see it's the same face. I still can't see any record of this Tom chap playing for Fulham though. Who knows, maybe Tom was the pseudonym and Horace was the real name

Congrats to Bradley but def disappointed that Horace lost. Hope it doesn't cure his apterous addiction though
