I didn't quite wash away, but I am currently a ways away from home. I should be back tonight and will get everything updated then. Thanks for your patience.

The repeating letter E actually slows down the vocalisation of that phrase.

Speed Demon:
Jon Corby 1-1 Charlie Reams
Jon 109-94 Charlie
Charlie 85-72 Jon
Draw felt about right considering they were two close games - in fact the first was pretty intense as the deadlock wasn't broken until round 13 (10/12 maxes each to that point). Second game was a bit more erratic, but always tight. FTR, my laptop chose an awesome time to freeze, as I only saw the conundrum when it was also telling me that Charlie had solved it. Would I have got
UNPOPULAR in less than 3.5 seconds?
(Man, I'm too generous to you guys with these feed lines)

Nice games. Just FYI for the next round,
speed demon matches are meant to be speed 9 rather than speed 15 games. I don't think it matters hugely though as scores aren't being used as a tie-breaker.

For completeness:
Two smackdowns
Feist 21 - 60 K Laddiman
K Laddiman 64 - 29 Feist
and two slightly more reasonable games (playing these at 2:30am local time was Not Enough):
Reams 66 - 31 Feist
Feist 33 - 53 Reams
The Week 2 matches are now set and will be posted anon.
