Reasoning akin to that provides the only possible explanation for Olly Murs being in Sunday's X Factor sing-off.Derek Hazell wrote:I eventually deleted the Corby who I thought would get more votes
I don't watch X Factor, but thinking about it, isn't what I did the opposite to tactical voting? When people tactical vote in elections, they vote for who they think has a chance of winning, often leaving out the one they really want to vote for (Liberal Democrats?).Phil Reynolds wrote:Reasoning akin to that provides the only possible explanation for Olly Murs being in Sunday's X Factor sing-off.Derek Hazell wrote:I eventually deleted the Corby who I thought would get more votes

Oh yeah, you must have meant the same thing, sorry. People who were fans of this Oli Garner or whatever his name was, voted for someone else who they also liked because they thought he would get through anyway, right?Phil Reynolds wrote:Where did tactical voting come into all this though? Well, not voted for someone else so much as didn't bother to vote at all, which is why I said it was reasoning akin (rather than identical) to yours.Derek Hazell wrote:People who were fans of [Olly Murs] voted for someone else who they also liked because they thought he would get through anyway, right?
