Yeah, do you suppose people maybe feel that the numbers game is more of a level playing field than the letters?

Oh and, er, I'm in.

I knew something would make me join Apterous eventually.

It may be a disaster but I'd like to enter anyway.

:) Welcome. I'll have to give you a dummy rating of zero at this point, which I suspect may be a bit low.

Well, presumably a rating of zero does make you a dummy.

Important notice:

Please check that your name is on the list above if you expect to be playing, and that your rating is (approximately) correct.

No corrections will be accepted after the closing deadline.

A question mark should be put by my name, as my participation may well be dependent on me bypassing the college proxy somehow. Bypassing could be the wrong word, but basically it won't let me get on apterous.

Let me know for definite by the deadline or I'll assume you're not playing. With this many people to organise I can't afford to have people dropping out.

Although I'm away from Monday to Friday of next week, if my opponent can't do the weekend, I might still be able to find time to get on the internet during the week, so don't count my post as maybe not playing.

I should be able to get playing at weekends, or jump on some rather slow and annoying internet in a worst case scenario.

So entry closes at 11pm Sunday, or when we get to 64 entrants.

To confirm, there will be two divisions, based on ratings, and each player will play 5 games. I'll play iff we have an odd number of entrants. Oh and it'll be fun.

I can fight off Ralph's amorous advances on my own thanks, I don't need James as a bodyguard.

Yep, he didn't want to use the forum. Not sure why I helped him - he's a fool to himself really, but it seemed a shame to see him panic :)

Not sure Andrew, I don't know him personally. But I (or Richard Brittain considering his first name) will certainly ask him if I happen to be on the same time as him again.
