Anyway, it turns out the arrests were completely dodgy after all and the Met has apologised. One of the geezers says he's taking legal action though. That could be interesting.

Are you sure it's not just that international dignitaries will turn up for any sort of jolly, especially at a country that is actually still pretty rich, and from which money flows readily if the correct palms are greased?

I hope she's learned her lesson and will no longer support the royals and any of their nonsense ceremonies.

You'd hope. I think if the police had explicitly arrested her for supporting the coronation it would have been more acceptable.
