Wow, thanks for that Kirk.Kirk Bevins wrote:On behalf of Chris, I'm posting this in brag. Truly brilliant. I held some hope from my round 9 spot but then, bam, some more obscure words from Chris and I'm floored. Relentless.

An interesting game. After observing Matthew's CAVORTING, Dinos toyed successfully with SODOMITES which led to unanticipated NUPTIALS. Both players missed out on a juicy HEADMISTRESS, choosing to tangle instead with a pair of MAULERS. All ended sadly with Matthew getting SECTIONED and Dinos getting HOSPITALIZED.Dinos Sfyris wrote:Fritzlicious

AArrrrrgghh. Wanted to respond to this with my max game for ages. If only id risked CARTOONY I'd have one. Still my best ever game in terms of maxes. But sigh:Kirk Bevins wrote:Well done mate. Goatdown is far easier to get max games for though. Getting a 15 rounder max game is your next step!
Sweet. At least you can claim the raw score record, or something.Junaid Mubeen wrote:A new personal best in standard

In hindsight, a bit gutted to be one spot away from the record, but not exactly kicking myself!
The second one has some terrible playing from me - the other two weren't so bad. I would have won the third, had I picked S for SENARIUS like I meant to, but I went and picked the wrong letter and didn't realise until I had about a second of time leftDinos Sfyris wrote:Thought I'd post this little triolet of speedgoats with Chris Davies which I enjoyed, especially the second although in hindsight I'm even more gutted about round one and he beat me by a fraction to the conundrum which I only know cause I saw one the other day in a museum

Well done Paul, great game to get a max in too. Could this mean a graduation to Goatblitz, perhaps?Paul Howe wrote:Woohoo, I can finally retire from speedgoat

Slightly bizarre time to get it as if you look at the games prior to this you can see I was just half-arsing it waiting for my COMA game to start, then I realised half way throughI was on a perfect game and got so nervous I picked 4 vowels to start in my last round
Yes, I think so, its definitely a purer form of the game, but I doubt I'll be playing as often now I've been released from my obsession.Simon Myers wrote: Well done Paul, great game to get a max in too. Could this mean a graduation to Goatblitz, perhaps?
This is brilliant. I can sort of comprehend how it could be done (on a round by round basis) but christ, I couldn't even come close to being able to think fast enough to actually do it. Game of the week!Paul Howe wrote:Woohoo, I can finally retire from speedgoat

Thanks Jim, I still have to do last weeks GOTW first though. It's coming soon folks, I promise.JimBentley wrote: This is brilliant. I was only doing it to impress you Jono. Why do you have to be so cold?Jon O'Neill wrote:Yeah, you didn't get 142 though did you, you fucking twat?

Would have been absolutely BEAUTIFUL if Damian had found a 9 letter word in that last selection considering your declaration.Eoin Monaghan wrote:http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=42770
Never in regular Hyper. Bolas got one in Hypergoatdown from his pick and I got one in max-only hypergoatdown from an opponent's pick.D Eadie wrote:http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=42807
Not blowing smoke up my own arse here, but has anyone else ever got 24pts before for a 12-letter word?
You deserve one. Seriously.D Eadie wrote:And do i get a special display case toy?

Not good in general but round 18 I feel deserves a mention.
Blimey - I'd always assumed that Bevatron was a made-up nickname (like Kirkulator) and hadn't realised it was an actual word. I've spent the last few minutes sniggering at lots of online descriptions, from the requirement for shielding around the Bevatron to a tearful account of the Bevatron being shut down.Ben Wilson wrote:http://apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=42892

Shame it doesn't give your workings (unless it does and I don't know how to get at it?). Care to share?Kirk Bevins wrote:http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=44939
Check out round 14. This is easily my best numbers solution ever. The thought involved was a bit ridiculous, but first noticing the target was 283x3. Crossword tools says there is only one solution and has a 99% difficulty rating.
