Thanks Richard, Jason and Naomi, most kind.
Puzzling that Jeff said yesterday on the show that it was his birthday today as well, but whether he was referrring to the day after the show was recorded or today I am not sure. That great fountain of knowledge, Wikipedia, puts his birthday as 6 December 1955 - so neither fits - every other bio puts his DOB as "unknown" so it is a bit of a mystery. Perhaps he will explain more on today's show!
So just in case it is today, happy birthday Jeff Stelling

I attended a recording this Wednesday (18th) and mention was made then (off-air) that it was Jeff's birthday, so yes, they were referring to the transmission date.

Happy Birthday, Ben Wilson!
Surprised to see that you're only 26.
Meant in a nice way, i.e. you looked much more mature than that at CoLin, not that you look old and decrepit!
Happy Birthday too, to David von Geyer.
Since he hasn't logged on since November, I wasn't going to bother, but
Mabey Matt will somehow make a joke out of it.
Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers on the forum. I had a lovely cooked breakfast in bed, with cards and pressies.
Hope you're all getting spoilt too.
For those of you living with your mums, I hope you're spoiling them today, and if not, why not!

Happy birthday, David von Geyer and Ben Wilson!
David, I didn't even know you had joined this forum, so I thought I would ask you a question.
Towards the end of Series 57, what was it like to play against Jeffrey Hansford?
And of course, we know Ben! The math afficionado extraordinaire! Happy birthday to you! Here's hoping you continue to moderate this forum.
Also, I didn't know UK Mother's Day was in March. US Mother's Day is in May (the second Sunday, in fact.)

Mother's Day here is the fourth Sunday in Lent, so it moves with Easter - see Wikipedia.

As Peter says, Mothers Day is tied in with Lent (Mothering Sunday) over here.
It's in May in France too. We often used to holiday in France in May, as it was cheaper, but still good weather.
So I'd get Mothers Day over here, usually in March, then Fete Des Meres over in France in May!

I don't know what it is with me today! I think it's because it's Friday! That gives me all the more reason to do a Louis Armstrong impression!
James, we will always remember you by your incredible solution to that typical numbers game. It floored Carol Vorderman and made me feel like I just had a shot of anesthesia!
Many happy returns!
