Congraulations, Philip, for sneaking into another episode!Philip Jarvis wrote:Please form an orderly queue for autographs ............ but I made another appearance on tonight's episode of The Hotel on Channel 4.
Me, my wife Julie and my 2 youngest daughters Georgina and Gabriella can be seen at the back of the restaurant just after the Torquay restaurant reviewers come in (46 mins on Sky + or 37 mins on 4OD). Perhaps Ryan could do the honours with another still.
Next week, I will be appearing in the new series of Fat Club. Ha ha!!

Lose the quote marks around the actual url in the tag (i.e. so it just says url=this.com rather than url="this.com")Ian Volante wrote:EDIT: My apparent inability to make this link work is wonderfully ironic.
I think I've Countdown Masters before, but what is it, who does it, and why do they do it? It's mad and brilliant.James Robinson wrote:You might recognise Contestant 2 on this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7JeGyh3cSE
It's a guy called Steven Fisher who does it, he does all the graphics for Jeff's CO-events, and has done us one for COHUD too.Jon O'Neill wrote:I think I've Countdown Masters before, but what is it, who does it, and why do they do it? I assumed it was just made up games. What stuff did you get sent in December, and how does this actally work?James Robinson wrote:It's a guy called Steven Fisher who does it, he does all the graphics for Jeff's CO-events, and has done us one for COHUD too.Jon O'Neill wrote:I think I've Countdown Masters before, but what is it, who does it, and why do they do it? Basically fans of the show play 3 round (1L, 1N and 1C) over 7 days, and the winner is the winner. No prize except pride, but well cool.
I actually got sent the stuff back in December, but I was told it was gonna be around Easter that it would be shown, as you can guess by some of the conundrums later in the week.
I didn't know who my opponent was until I saw it just now, but he seems half-decent so far.
Basically, you get sent the 21 rounds for the week, then you send back your answers. As simple as that.Gavin Chipper wrote:I assumed it was just made up games. What stuff did you get sent in December, and how does this actally work?
Are you told to spend 30 seconds on each round, or is it as long as you want?James Robinson wrote:Basically, you get sent the 21 rounds for the week, then you send back your answers. Yes, 30 seconds per round.Gavin Chipper wrote:Are you told to spend 30 seconds on each round, or is it as long as you want?James Robinson wrote:Basically, you get sent the 21 rounds for the week, then you send back your answers. Edit - and do you have to say how long it took you to get the conundrum?
Will you be writing a poem about this?Philip Jarvis wrote: Me, my wife Julie and my 2 youngest daughters Georgina and Gabriella can be seen at the back of the restaurant just after the Torquay restaurant reviewers come in (46 mins on Sky + or 37 mins on 4OD).

In a word - No. Why, after 2 months, did you feel it necessary to respond in this way? What have I done to upset you? Let me remind you of the first time you had an interchange with me:Charlie Reams wrote:Will you be writing a poem about this?Philip Jarvis wrote: Me, my wife Julie and my 2 youngest daughters Georgina and Gabriella can be seen at the back of the restaurant just after the Torquay restaurant reviewers come in (46 mins on Sky + or 37 mins on 4OD).
WTF has happened since then? Why have you subsequently felt the inclination to make obscure/non related/derogatory remarks on occasions when I make a comment?Charlie Reams wrote:Hi Philip, you sound like a thoroughly nice chap indeed.Philip Jarvis wrote:Hi - my name is Philip Jarvis

I thought Kirk was God.James Robinson wrote:Just seen this interesting article that I read in today's i newspaper, featuring our favourite forum god : http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-enter ... 19546.html
Nah, supposedly this "Charlie Reams" created this forum, hung around loads in the early days adding cool stuff to it and dishing out rules and punishments and shit, and then disappeared and you don't hear jackshit from him anymore. I'd say James nailed it.Gavin Chipper wrote:I thought Kirk was God.James Robinson wrote:Just seen this interesting article that I read in today's i newspaper, featuring our favourite forum god : http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-enter ... 19546.html

It was the News one that was first, which then got re-clipped for Radio 2.
