Looks like it's been changed with the addition of Unlimited Jr.Kirk Bevins wrote:I didn't think a large number could be 20 - only 10?Hugh Binnie wrote:Easiest numbers game ever (R14) displays incorrectly in the recap.
If you can reproduce this consistently, email me your console and I'll get it fixed.Julie T wrote:I usually do a customised practice game before the duel, but I tried a few times today and kept getting the error message:

I'm currently doing a non-customised Speedgoat with Prune that seems to be working.
I'd appreciate if you could poke around with this a bit, since me no speakie Dutch and therefore I can't tell what's up. If you determine whether all Dutch games are broken or just Unlimited, that would really help.Matt Bayfield wrote:Dutch Hyper Unlimited seems to be broken at the moment. I don't know if this is a problem specific to Ducth Hyper Unlimited or just Dutch in general.
Why should they be today's? It only says "lately". Who knows what that might mean.Kirk Bevins wrote:Think this is a bug. Charlie, it seems to be all Dutch games which are broken. I have no idea what lexicon it's using, but it's not the normal Dutch lexicon - witness this game and this game where Sponge is unable to declare a valid word. It seems that the only words which are being counted as valid are words which also appear in other languages, e.g. English words, or French words. Any ideas what's up?Charlie Reams wrote:I'd appreciate if you could poke around with this a bit, since me no speakie Dutch and therefore I can't tell what's up. Neither, as far as I can tell. Twenty-one humans have faced it and only four of them have solved it at the first attempt, most of whom have a fairly high rating. Seems quite reasonable to put it in the hardest 900.Chris Philpot wrote:Upon hovering over the conundrum RATTLIEST to see its hardness rating, I was surprised to find it listed as a 10 - a bug or error, perhaps?
EARTHWORK had too many appearances for me to count through, but at a glance it looks like it's mostly unsolved except by people who've seen it before.(I'd also noticed an earlier game of mine listed EARTHWORK as a 10, so it may be more likely to be the former than the latter.)
Dutch Unlimited/Omelette is the coolest thing ever!Matt Bayfield wrote:Also on the subject of Dutch, the table on the "pencils by language and length" Statland page needs extending to 26 letters.
I had the same thing last night, but after playing a few more games then resuming the Touch Jnr. game, the conundrum appeared as normal.Ian Volante wrote:Got a touch jnr game that simply won't let the conundrum appear. I tried to customise a practice Junior Goatdown today and got the same error message. Maybe it's a general goaty problem, full custom games anyhow. You have to play at least 5 games in the format, otherwise they'd be PBs spunking all over the chat. How many have you played?Ian Volante wrote:Sorry, I mean personal best

Same thing happened to me. I quit the duel yesterday, resumed it just now and found it's started from the beginning.Edwin Mead wrote:I played the duel early this morning, but only had time for a few rounds. (Even with this cheating advantage, I still only managed a pitiful score!)
Thanks for the heads-up. One of the disks is full. Will resolve today.Matt Bayfield wrote:This may already be a known issue/bug/deliberate design, but to echo the point made by Ian/Gavin, various pages of statistics don't appear to have been updated for a very long time. For example, not much (if anything) on Superstats appears to have been updated for a week or two, and the German 15 statistics page doesn't yet show the new format record which was set on 22 May. Pro Ranks are also lagging a week behind.
I don't want apterous to slow to a crawl (don't know if regular updating causes that, but could imagine it might) but it would be nice to have these stats pages updated at least once weekly, if it's possible.
On a similar note, after you made the loading of the home page much faster a few months ago, it's got back to how slow it was for me nowadays. Is this fixable? Not sure, but it might be correlated with the apparent recent return of lag (which was wonderfully absent through most of the Spring!)Charlie Reams wrote:Thanks for the heads-up. Perhaps the fact this still is happening implies it's a tough one to fix, but this just happened to me too. Fortunately it was only a few rounds, but having to re-enter an invalid word in a round was super-painful, especially when the rest of it went so wellChris Davies wrote:Same thing happened to me.
