Body parts
Find two body parts which are anagrams of each other.
I can think of three pairs. Starter for ten: find all six words. For bonus points: think of some I haven't thought of.

Seems like I'm the only one with ARSE and EARS then.

Oh, for goodness sake! Surely we're restricting it to 'proper' words. I don't think you'll find the first one in a medical textbook!Jon O'Neill wrote:Seems like I'm the only one with ARSE and EARS then.

Re: Body parts
The four letter pair just came to me a few minutes ago, while driving.
Just one of the fives to go.
Maybe not in a medical textbook Karen, but my daughter and son-in-law, both doctors, use the word frequently, mainly when talking about me.

Ha this is great, I'm gonna think about this in my next lecture. Got one straight away which is quite worrying that I thought of that body part first.

Re: Body parts
Bit of a stretch, but if you've cut yourself, this would be a part of your body temporarily.
UTERUS = SUTURE

What's the betting that it's the same one I got immediately when I first got up this morning?Ryan Taylor wrote:Ha this is great, I'm gonna think about this in my next lecture. Got one straight away which is quite worrying that I thought of that body part first.

Re: Body parts
I had forgotten Jono & Jon's one, and there's a further riff on that pair. I have a pair of sixes that no one has said yet.

Re: Body parts
Like everyone else I got SPINE/PENIS straight away, and EARS/ARSE after a bit more thinking. I also got FOOT/TOOF but didn't notice FEET/TEEF.

I reckon it's FINGER and FRINGE which is one of only 2 I got. Didn't even think of ARSE/EARS and I love the ELBOW/BOWEL one.Charlie Reams wrote:I had forgotten Jono & Jon's one, and there's a further riff on that pair. I have a pair of sixes that no one has said yet.

Re: Body parts
Depending on how far you want to stretch this:
VEIN - NEVI (plural of NEVUS, a birthmark, yeah I know it's not the ODE spelling but it is the accepted medical spelling)
PTERION (a point on the skull) - PROTEIN
NASION (the junction of the nasal bone with the skull) - ANIONS
Yeah, bit shit really.
