GNR
Hello all,
I would like to bring to your attention that I will be carrying the apterous flag in this weekend's Great North Run. I am running for St John ambulance and hope to be sponsored so I can recoup for them some of the money that Portsmouth FC still owe them.
If you would like to donate, then please visit http://www.justgiving.com/tomrowell and give me all your live savings.
Thanks
Mr.T

Re: GNR
Heather is going to be mortified with disappointment when she inevitably clicks on a thread called "GNR" and sees this.
In other news though, best of luck Tom! Hope it goes fantastically.

I think you'll find I donated last night after seeing your link on the newsfeed of Facebook. Where are the thanks? I hope you collapse and die running it.

Re: GNR
I was looking forward to a thread chatting about fat idiots in cycling shorts. Pah.
EDIT: Actually, there's more humour in that statement that I originally realised...

Re: GNR
Even without adding an E, my first thought when seeing the thread title was that this referred to the Great Northern Railway, which was one of those which formed the LNER in 1923. Only after that did I realise that it was Tom's thread, rather than George's.Ben Wilson wrote:As will Kirk, who will inevitably have read it as 'GNER'.Matt Morrison wrote:Heather is going to be mortified with disappointment when she inevitably clicks on a thread called "GNR" and sees this.
Best of luck anyway, Tom.

Re: GNR
You've already cut a minute off your Facebook-published time! We shouldn't have to stand for this level of inaccuracy. How long, I ask you, before you did it in 2 hours 55 minutes? It's ridiculous.tomrowell wrote:You may or may not be interested to know i completed the course today in 2 hours 56 minutes
In other news, very fucking well done.
