What I find interesting is that nearly 70% of the letters of the word NOB feature in the name Jon O'Neill.

I was just thinking how good it was that Charlie spelt it "nob", which is the proper way. I mean, in the dictionary I think it says "knob", but it was never that way at school. It's just "nob". There's no point in a dictionary trying to give a word like that a formal spelling.

How can you put a silent letter in such a juvenile word? Knob seems so formal. Nob is the only way to spell it.

"One for his nob" is the only way to score a single point in cribbage
Mike Brown: "Round 12: T N R S A E I G U

C1: SIGNATURE (18) ["9; not written down"]
C2: SEATING (7)
Score: 108–16 (max 113)

Another niner for Adam and yet another century. Well done, that man."

I always thought a "nob" meant "aristocrat" or "posh cunt" and that the correct spelling (in the penile sense) was "knob". In fact I'm pretty sure I'm right, as the word "knob" (in the penile sense) was coined by the 4th Earl of Burscough, who had his penis replaced with a wooden doorknob following an accident with a Spinning Jenny.

What happened to Jenny?

Get in! It took me 4 hours but I knew there was a joke there.
