Smilie League Table
Everyone knows that a smilie* is a great way to express yourself without bothering with words, and adds a dash of colour to your otherwise drab posts Therefore we present here, for the first time, a countdown of C4Countdown's smiliest users. All stats in this post are real, other comments do not necessarily reflect the views of the author.
At number 5, it's everyone's favourite home educator Julie T, with 4.5 smilies per post. Expressive!
At number 4, it's Martin May whose occasional emotional outbursts give him an impressive 4.6 smilies per post. Emo!
In at 3, we have Jason "too cool for C4C" Cullen, with 700 posts and an average of 4.7 smilies each. Extroverted!
Making a strong bid for the top spot, it's James " " Robinson, the only member of the top five to become a kiloposter. James' inexplicable desire to replace all forms of punctuation with the same item of punctuation in a little yellow circle gives each post an incredible average of 5.444 smilies. Excruciating
But, the number one spot by a hair's breadth, proving she's anything but an economist with emoticons, is... Lesley Jeavons at 5.446 smilies per post! Well done Lesley, but how long can she hang on at the top? Exciting!

If you quote Dinos's post as you did in your last post, Julie, I wonder if the quoted smilies count towards your total.

Not bad coming 2nd after just less than a year on here.
I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry , but either way it can't be that bad can it
Well, I think it's well impressive.
Well, at least I've got a realistic target to get to now, as there's no chance of me being top dog on Apterous.
Hopefully, No.1 soon

Re: Smilie League Table
lol. Sorry, James, but I must point out the glaring statistical error you've made there. The average (arithmetic mean) is the total number of smilies divided by the number of posts. Therefore if you had only ever posted once (assuming Charlie didn't impose a lower limit on the number of posts), then using six smilies in that one post would have placed you at #1. Six divided by one is six.James Robinson wrote:Not bad coming 2nd after just less than a year on here.

I'm just overjoyed at being #2 out of 1,082.
The only time that being #2 is bad, is when you're #2 out of 2.
