Player of the Year

Vote for the top player of the year, taking into account performances on apterous and on the show as appropriate. Feel free to discuss.

NB Vote for as many of them as you like.

As the first, and so far only, person to set a max on the show itself, my vote goes to Captain Kirk.

I think you've got a hanging participle there, unless you're an RB-style alter ego for Kirk himself.

I'm definitely not Kirk!

I voted for Kirk. If this was just a "your favourite / best player" vote then I'd vote Howe, but this is player of the year, and the year definitely belongs to Kirk.

Also, the other game of the century.

Yeah you're right. I voted for Junaid at first, figuring Kirk has got enough fucking plaudits. But yeah, has to be Kirk really. Vote changed.

Wow, I'm flattered to be included in the poll, amongst these apterous/Countdown giants! :)

Lol, I'm aware! No need to highlight it so everyone else knows though.

What about Rodolf?
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

Not surprisingly i gave Kirk a vote based on combination of apterous and on show achievement, plus I am biased but balanced it with a vote for Junaid who I thought was awesome on last series (sorry Charlie).

Not sure why you're apologising, it's clearly flattering to imply that the guy who beat me is awesome, and I wouldn't put him in the poll if I didn't think he was deserving (and generally a top guy).
