Another good game, if it wasn't for Eoin's slight blank after the second conundrum things could have been very different.
I agree:

Howe v Garner

Won by far more than I deserved on this one, my picking was awful. Wish I could blame the 5 sec rds for that but it was just terrible.

Yep, waiting for you and Kirk to play your game (unless you've already played and I've missed it).

Wow, nice game. Okay, I'll sort out the draw within the next hour.

I would have done it in an hour but I fainted and never woke up until the next morning. So here's the draw, with numbers having been picked randomly by Andrew Feist:

Semi-finals draw:

Charlie Reams vs Innis Carson
Paul Howe vs Ben Wilson

Hooray, another knock-out tournament I bomb out of at the semi-final stage.

Good luck to everyone left in.
Charlie, I should warn you that in the other tourneys (Coma and plate) I've been knocked out in the first round by someone who has gone on to lose in the semis. So good luck, you may need it!

Well done Innis, a deftly-delivered nine sunk me. Have really enjoyed this tournament, cheers Ben. Who's for a third-place playoff?

First game in this tournament I've actually been pleased pleased with, got thoroughly humped on the goatundrums though.

No arguing with 12/12 on the letters. Good luck in the final. :)

Top drawer game there lads.

So it comes to this, a David and Goliath battle between young upstart Innis Carson and goatdown legend Paul Howe. Both have shown they have what it takes to win this tournament, so let's see how it pans out...

That's insanely good on the letters rounds.

The final.....

http://apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=71005

Bit of a scrappy one, partly due to my spoiling tactics of trying to create obtuse rounds that are difficult to process in 5 seconds rather than the usual high probability fayre. Well played Innis, and thanks to Ben for organising everything, I'm very pleased to have overcome some excellent competition.

Well played indeed Paul! You deserved to win more than anyone. Did my best, I'm pleased with how the game went, and delighted to have actually reached the final. Well played to everyone involved, and cheers to Ben for organising the tournament, had great fun the whole way through.

So a month later and it's all over. The apterous goatdown goat has been appeased and can now sit in some grass and think about Paul Howe:

Thanks to everyone who took part, see you next time!
