Eyeball it!

Post by Ben Wilson »

I scored 4.11 on my first attempt, largely due to my eyesight being crap. Am expecting better from the better-eyed mathsies on the forum. :)

I'm not convinced this is much of a sight test, since I got 4.10 and I almost certainly have worse eyesight than you. And I've been drinking.

Quite fun, I got 3.02 on the first attempt. Will have a few more goes and see whether I can get down to 2.5 or so.

hmmmm. 7.99.

I think score should be divided by age. I'll have another go when I'm more awake; only my left eye is open so far. Nice find, Ben

Cheers for the link Ben. After first two attempts around 4.2 I managed 3.31 but I'm sure I can better it. The 2 categories which seem to let me down are right angles and parallelograms.

6.49 on first attempt, that explains why nothing I put up in the house is level or sqaure, also why my snooker is so appalling and proves my putting is pure luck!
I thought I was good at Countdown until I joined this forum

3.98 on second go, and that included 0.1 on right angles, and 0.0 on parallelograms.

Wearing my glasses helped.

3.95 on first attempt, Charlie's 3.02 is pretty impressive.

2.30

But that did include a score of 11.4 on the first triangle. Oops.

Yeah, I'm pretty good all round, then get like 16s and 8s on the centre of the triangle. I hate that one. Makes my average score in the 4.xx region (despite getting a 0.0 on the midpoint of a line).

I got 5.2, default aspect ratio of my display made right angles look wrong. :(
Will try again when I've altered it.

Just had 2.67, including one 0.0 on a convergence one. Also managed 612.93 on a slightly less serious attempt.

I had a quick go and got 8.75. The convergence of the line and the triangle were the hardest ones for me.

Aye, I got 5.05 first go, but then adjusted the monitor to its native resolution (it's new) and got a 2.94. It made a big difference to the right angles and parallelograms, which had definitely looked wrong before.

I got 3.77. Very inconsistent. I can't do the triangle one at all, getting 6.4 as my best - on the all the others I had a best of 2.0 or better.

Hmm I managed 5.xx, but suck at triangles! Will glasses make a difference to short-sightedness? Time will tell! :)
