Dancing on Ice final
Got home from a long weekend of country pubs and beach walks in Suffolk in time to see this. And I'm not too big or clever to admit that this made me cry.
Re: Dancing on Ice final
Pansy. My 5 year old daughter also cried, when Jessica didn't win.
That was rubbish anyway, you could see the strings in some shots.

Yeah, although watching it on YouTube actually helps a bit there.Jon Corby wrote:That was rubbish anyway, you could see the strings in some shots.
I know it's been pretty obvious for weeks now that Ray would win, but scoring two perfect 30s from the judges in the final was still an amazing achievement. He's a talented young man, even if he does look disconcertingly like Marine Boy (if anyone else remembers that).

Suzanne Shaw did that last year as well.Phil Reynolds wrote:I know it's been pretty obvious for weeks now that Ray would win, but scoring two perfect 30s from the judges in the final was still an amazing achievement. Ray's performances were great, but I can't warm to him as a person. He just comes across as a smarmy git.

Re: Dancing on Ice final
It was a bit weird that you could phone in for who you wanted to win before they did the Bolero. Nothing to do with who was best at all. That being said Ray was far and away the best skater there.
It would have been good to let us see Jessica do the Bolero.

High praise indeed considering Torville & Dean were there, and all the other professional skaters making up the partnershipsIan Fitzpatrick wrote:That being said Ray was far and away the best skater there.

Re: Dancing on Ice final
He should have performed that to the Walking in the Air song from The Snowman.
It's dancing on ice in the loosest possible way.

The best moment of the series had to be when Todd Carty skated off the rink to the "Help" routine
Re: Dancing on Ice final
Personally, I was impressed with Daniel's willpower in resisting copping a feel here. Roxy even looks anxious about it.Joseph Bolas wrote:The best moment of the series had to be when Todd Carty skated off the rink to the "Help" routine

We had Dancing on Ice (or something similar) in America, and it flopped.
I thought winter was over with anyway!

Maybe because you don't have the great Torvill & Dean.Jason Larsen wrote:We had Dancing on Ice (or something similar) in America, and it flopped.
