Spoilers for Monday 14th July 2025 - Series 92, Heat 11

David Holmes, Apterite and former World Scrabble Championship entrant, debuts today. This should be a good one.

Funnily enough, the mentioned game show Hive Minds was first broadcast exactly 10 years ago. http://www.ukgameshows.com/ukgs/Hive_Minds

AFFORCED in Round 11

Good match, and the better player won. But once again – and there have been quite a few of these this year – another good challenger who I think on a different day could have gone on to been a finalist. Tough draw.

David Holmes had a slow start. Otherwise he could have been the better player.

He did. I still think players should be given a couple of non-broadcast free-for-all warm-up rounds before they play the game for real. The recent double blank in Round 1 from two shows ago justifies this.

Round 8: Don't try RIOTISED in Scrabble :D RIOTISE is a noun. DIORITES is valid in Scrabble, but DIORITE is a mass noun for Countdown purposes.
