Logan: lumine

DC: ELUENT (6) MULE MINUET (6) MINUTE (6)
OT: LENITE (6) LUTEIN (6)
Score: 0–0 (max 6)
Not the best start for our champion and challenger as Susie says no to their words..............but there were a few sixes to be had........no extra points for spotting most of those.......so let's jump ahead to the next round

Logan: STADIUM (7)
Matt: MAIDS (5)
DC: AUDITS (6)
OT: MIDGUTS (7)
Score: 23–10 (max 29)
A great round from Logan with his 7 Stadium that beat DC and our recap writer...............here are some examples of football stadiums so let's have a look at some of those grounds

Old Trafford the theatre of dreams..........Manchester United arguably one of the best teams in the world.........which our hostess Rachel Riley supports as does our recap writer

A football team that is on the up Stockport County who are doing well in league 1 and pushing for promotion........here is a look at what the stadium expansion could look like when completed...........my second home along with my husband !

Last but not least The Emirates Stadium a random club that our long serving lexicographer Susie Dent supports !

And much to my annoyance our current presenter Colin Murray supports some rather silly football team called Liverpool FC and their stadium Anfield in it's glory
Round 5: E O S N Z E I R N
Logan: SINNER (6)
Matt: SINNER (6)
DC: NOSIER (6) REZONES (7)
OT: NERINES (7)

Sixes all round but the gap still remains tight with 13 points in it and everything left to play for.......

Over in DC they get to show off with their 7 Rezones............the other available 7 was Nerines that nobody spotted

Round 7: T C S P A E G O R
Logan: PORTAGES (8)
Matt: sportage
DC: POTAGERS (8) ESCARGOT (8)
Score: 47–26 (max 54)
Another fabulous round from our champion Logan not for Matt though his risky 8 has benn disallowed by Susie..........over in DC they get to shine with their eights.......Potagers and along with DC Escargot was my spot

Round 8: L T C E U I D F O
Logan: CLOUTED (7)
Matt: outfiled
DC: OUTFIELD (8)
Score: 54–26 (max 62)
Another good round from our champion Logan but not for Matt though as his word is disallowed by Susie..........over in DC they get to steal the show yet again with their Outfield

Round 9: 50, 25, 1, 2, 10, 7. Target: 121.
C1: 121. (50 + 10) × 2 + 1 (10)
C2: 121. (50 + 10) × 2 + 1 (10)
Score: 64–36 (max 72)
Another easy one for our champion and challenger and 10 points each.........the numbers gods have been generous so far........that is 3/4 for them both so far
Teatime teaser: WORDVINE -> OVERWIND
Round 10: S M T U E A O R B
Logan: SABOTEUR (8)
Matt: outsmear
DC: BROMATES (8) TAMBOURS (8)

Round 12: Q L R A E O P S A
Logan: POLARS (6)
Matt: PAROLES (7)
DC: PARASOL (7)
OT: REPOSAL (7)
Score: 80–43 (max 95)
A good round from our challenger Matt with his 7 Paroles sadly it is not enough to save him...........but there were quite a few sevens to be had........nothing worth fighting over................let's play nicely now

Round 13: J K N I A O E U L
Logan: JUNKIE (6)
Matt: JUNKIE (6)

Round 15: T E T S E C O N D
C1 buzzes on 3.25 seconds to say CONTESTED which is correct.
Final Score: 106–49 (max 122)
Another speedy conundrum solve from our champion Logan who is slowly improving..........secondly take nothing away from Matt despite being nervous he gave as good as he got........you can join me for the next recap and find out if Logan can bag his third win.......so bye bye for now
