99 To Beat

Post by Philip A »

Silly new game show on ITV 1 Saturdays at 6 pm where 100 ordinary people play utterly bonkers and ridiculous games.

At the end of the series, someone wins £25,000.

A light-hearted version of Squid Game.

A bit puerile but good fun.

Don't mind it - family-aimed mix of Taskmaster and Squid Game. Pretty well paced. Presenters are a couple of twerps, but you get used to them, and at least neither of them are called Ant, Dec, Stephen or Bradley. More than adequate Saturday teatime viewing.

Agreed. You can see one of the reasons why Ant & Dec rested Saturday Night Takeaway (not for the first time) to give new hosts and shows a chance. Anyone from 21-year-old scaffolder to the 74-year-old retired pensioner can win which is cool.

No repeated challenges either, that’s another yes.

Minor spoiler: I recognised the 100th-placed contestant from other shows.
