I tried ROOFINGS as well and to my surprise, it’s not in the Apterous dictionary due to ROOFING being a mass noun; it’s clearly uncountable, because the definitions don’t begin with the indefinite article ‘a’.

Some years ago, Countdown used to give leeway for mass nouns which are actions, but not any more. They don’t accept STEALINGS for similar reasons.
