Unfortunately, this episode was cancelled for "reasons beyond the control of Channel 4". So, instead we were treated to a repeat of the last CoC final between Zarte and Bradley, not a bad replacement, in fairness.
It has since been revealed that Steven beat Player X by 88-57, meaning he will return at the start of the next series on Monday 20th June, where he will be 2 wins away from becoming the first octochamp of Series 86.
In the meantime, the Series 85 finals start tomorrow, and first up is #1 seed Dan Byrom v #8 seed Craig Fawcett.
