Not as good as TARTNESS but NATTERS was the obvious 7 when one of the contestants risked RATTANS. Missing double consonant + ER is unforgiveable - first thing you look at!

Easy to miss things that are there in amongst the mud of letters and numbers under pressure, as most games show. It’s so easy to look for or think of one thing (which is so often the one you go for at the end) and not look for alternatives. I know there’s the small dilemma of tactics to know more words (including oddities) than your opponent, but you have to see things first. Still, he got the points!

That was a horrible selection of letters - three double letters and all my brain wanted to do was make words with two Es, which there was only one of. I did get TARTNESS in the end but it was a struggleGavin Chipper wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 3:09 pm Not as good as TARTNESS but NATTERS was the obvious 7 when one of the contestants risked RATTANS.
