Literally Priceless Teapot

A couple of times I've tried to find a Countdown teapot on ebay and there weren't any. I also tried to search ebay for historical Countdown teapot sellings, and I couldn't find any. That, as far as I'm concerned, makes them literally priceless. Does anyone else know of an actual price that's been paid for one?

Some guy appeared on here hawking his on eBay. The auction ended at £180 or so, no idea if the winning bid was genuine though.

I'll dig out a link.

Edit: This was the thread. The item appears to have disappeared, but I never use eBay so I don't know if that's usual behaviour, or suggests it was a duff auction, or what.

Since I lost my game, I have been trying to get one of my brothers or sisters to apply to see if they can get on the show and win a teapot, but they won't do it .

I don't remember who actually had this teapot but yes, it was indeed priceless, not only because it looked nice but because it didn't cost anything!

The teapot linked here doesn't say "winner" under the word "countdown" - doesn't that mean it was one on sale in the shop, rather than a prize?

Nah it's authentic - I don't know when the word "Winner" was added to the teapot though, but mine (also from 2000) is the same as that one.

Mine also has Winner on it, although have never made a cuppa with it. It actually contains a piece of paper with Carol's signature, which I show to anyone who doubts me when I say I was a winner.

I would never sell a countdown teapot if I was lucky enough to win one. It depends on what kind of value you put on something like that I suppose.
