Tiny details that spoilt your enjoyment of a film or TV show

Post by Marc Meakin »

I have just rewatched Threads , a very graphic depiction of a nuclear war seen through the eyes of people living in Sheffield.
It was made in the eighties and although a little dated is still shocking
However there was one detail near the end when a young teenager girl born after the apocalypse , is seen giving birth and the denouement is that the baby was born deformed ( spoiler alert ) , however this girl in the throes of labour opened her mouth to scream in agony and inside her mouth were three fillings .
Totally ruined it for me.

Would they not have had fillings in a post-apocalyptic world?

Unlikely. From what I remember, they didn't even have Netflix.

Not according to how the film panned out
It was like medieval times but with automatic weapons
