Kryptonite
A fictional, green, crystalline substance, absolutely nothing like perspex. Given as a trophy to convey the message "Well, we've just established you're not Superman, you loser".

Re: Kryptonite
Is it just me, then? It's not kryptonite. It doesn't look anything like what kryptonite would look like if it existed. Giving someone a trophy made of kryptonite would in any case be totally inappropriate and highly dangerous. It wasn't funny the first time Nick said it, yet it comes up every time. Just stop.
(I've only seen one of the finals so far, so if he has stopped, thank God for that.)

Re: Kryptonite
Kryptonite is a stupid name for it, yes, but the initial post was a little bit krypronitic.
Re: Kryptonite
Damned heavy though - don't think it's perspex. Suspect some sort of resin. It has got a vaguely greenish tinge to it.

Re: Kryptonite
One would presume, from the vaguely odd ramblings above, that the trophy for this series of Countdown is a lump of green stuff?

A nugget of purest green, one might suggest.

Re: Kryptonite
Would it be dangerous though? I'm not exactly an expert in Superman, but isn't it just dangerous to Superman because of something about only being able to be harmed by stuff from his own planet? So we'd probably be OK with it. But if we went to another planet and someone presented us with some earth, we'd be in serious trouble.David Williams wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 12:52 pm Is it just me, then? It's not kryptonite. Jenny, you'd be better to contact Charlie directly.Jenny James wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 11:15 am Hi I am Jenny the mum of Ashton Hancock.
He is really 11 years old.
I would like to apologise on Ashton’s behalf for his posts on this forum and I wish for all his posts to be deleted.
I also would like the access his account to be restored and him to be given a 2nd chance.
If his access is restored will continue posting and monitor his posts and he says he will think before he posts.
I would like to ask all the people who he insulted to forget it and we will move on in the right manner and hope you all forget it.

It makes me cringe every time I hear him say it.
I thought I was good at Countdown until I joined this forum
