Poor Darren, a late night recording plus him unsucessfully risking words did him in eventually, indeed what an EMOTIONAL end to the Prelims of Series 78.

Alright with that, here are some stats I thought I'd share based on the 110 Episodes we had thus far in comparison to Series 77:

1. More contestants went away with Teapots than the last (31 vs 26)
2. There were five octochamps vs the eight we had half year ago. (Five is already the average in a modern day Series so we're pretty much at the level where we should be, last year was the best we've seen in a long long while...)
3. The mean score of contestants who did not win a game is higher than the last (I have not computed yet but the raw data I have suggests this fact already.)
4. When sorted by points, Dougie Mackay and Philip Aston would've had a change in their positions. Only one player was affected the last time round which was Sarah Holey.
5. The finalists were determined six days before the start of the Finals; in Series 77, they were determined ten days before.

Enjoy the Finals with "Mentally Strong" Zarte vs "Terribly Polite and Funny" Jan tomorrow! :)

COINED was there as an easy six in round four where DC seemed to be at full stretch to get CONOID.

But anyway, the game picked up a bit in the final "half" after being 29-20 going into the final break!

I wish Rachel would be allowed to show the best result for impossible numbers games. I only had 951 doing 19 x 50 + 1, but I also got 960 going up high and dividing by 2.
Will miss Nina because of Nick always saying her name twice when she did her spot, thus impersonating a police car.

Really? S77 only had 26 contestants who got teapots?

Yeah I thought that

It was nice to be comfortably ahead playing against the telly,= for a change, but the series did seem to peter out recently with a few poor performances all round
Roll on the Champions where I can be bamboozled or just happy if I match them a few times

The highlight for me in today's show was seeing Rachel in the same outfit as the one in my Avi pic

More concise way for last numbers: (75-6)x7 = 483 :)
