Was pretty pleased with myself today. Beat Charlie 109-72 albeit as an armchair hero. Beat him with ADMIXES, DILUTER, BARRIO, AEROSTAT (after frantically trying to remember TOASTER + A!), RAMEKINS, the last numbers (altho I only got 440) and conundrum, but he beat me with SAVAGE and SILICONE.

I have ERECTIONS was priceless! Also I liked the girlfriend appeal bit at the end! His best appearance yet IMHO. Strong challenger today. A shame she came up against someone as good as Charlie. I reckon she could have won a few.

Hi Matt - a BARRIO is more like a district/quarter of a city or town (often a "slum"). I think a CANTON is an administrative district of a country (like a small county), but I stand to be corrected by s.o.

Oi, stop taking my credit and not owning up to it! I was well happy with today, equalling DC/Carol with everything and beating them with RAMEKINS. A nice equaller in round 11 was ECLOSING and in round 12 I had EIDOLON. I thought I was on for a max game again today but then missed the conundrum - was really hard I thought, first one I haven't got in a long time. Turned out I missed 2 more maxes, an 8 in round 1 which lexonerds should know (as indeed I do but didn't spot it) and a 7 in round 4 (which is a bit more obscure).

Was a good game, when I saw SECRETION and ERECTIONS I somehow knew which one Charlie was going to declare

Was a bit surprised by the last numbers, given that she'd already lost, but was a good spot (I think we're all using the same method, and 8x7x2x4 (in that order) seems the easiest, I went 2x8x7 to get to 112 first, which made me think it was harder than it actually was), that and an (imo) tough conundrum was a bit of a shame for Charlie's finish, 900 is going to be a tough ask now...

He did even better then you Conor. IIRC you only had one erection during your run, but I do seem to remember that both you and your opponent found PLEASURE following it. I didn't get any; I stuck with SECRETION.

As for the 6 small numbers round, I found that one of the easier ones, as 448 factorises so well, and both 7 and 8 were in the selection.

And, Charlie, I've now beaten you on three letters rounds, having got DISMAY. Three out of the seventy-seven so far is more than I would have expected.
