Eurovision Song Contest 2015
Well, we won't be in London next year, that's for sure. Neither the UK or Australia are good enough to win.]
I have only heard the songs once due to A Levels and Countdown, but Spain, Moldova (!!), Estonia, and Belgium sound good to me.
I'm not quite sure on Israel.
And Finland is this year's novelty act.
Lump on, you puntaaaas!

I have a friend that lives in Malaysia, so perhaps this could be organised. (But it's King's Lynn until then.)Phil Reynolds wrote:Countdown in Kuala Lumpur?Gavin Chipper wrote:Is this Saturday 23rd? Co:KL I'm afraid.

Apparently the UK's entry this year features some "scatting", I was going to make an off colour joke, but I have somehow managed to resist the temptation!

OK, my prediction for tonight: Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, The Netherlands.
The shock will be Georgia, that won't go through despite being very good.

Tonight's predictions: Azerbaijan, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Sweden.
Slovenia could easily be in there somewhere, though.

I make it you got 6 right Rhys, the favourites Sweden are a joke price (13/8) O.K. he interacts well with the graphics but there's no way he should be this short as the song and his singing are nothing special.
The voters did a great job on culling the fit females from this semi-final!(Spoilsports)

Yes, but not in Australia. Seems likely that it would be in London, if it were the case that Australia won. (Probably our best chance of hosting it ever again.... )Marc Meakin wrote:If the Aussies win will they get to host it ?

There has been a huge gamble on BELGIUM, freely available @ 80/1 before the first semi-final, now you would struggle to get 7/1.
My money's going on RUSSIA at around 4/1.

When it comes to pure greed, Bookmakers could teach Bankers a thing or two.
The money grabbing c#@ts have been shortening up every thing, however I think I have managed to find a little each-way value in the form of.............ESTONIA @ around 25/1.

your not planning on being sober tonight.
It's a shame Switzerland never qualified.
I was thinking of becoming a Swiss citizen
Their flag is a big plus.

Graham Norton seems to be under the impression that Conchita is actually a woman rather than a bearded bloke who likes wearing women's clothes.

No doubt the anti Russian "juries" played a huge part in fixing it for the "gimmick" winner.

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2015
Tom Neuwirth (the performer who plays Conchita) uses the masculine pronoun when referring to himself, and the feminine pronoun when referring to the character; and Graham, like other commentators, follows the same protocol. Not sure what you find difficult about that.Steven M. McCann wrote:Graham Norton seems to be under the impression that Conchita is actually a woman rather than a bearded bloke who likes wearing women's clothes.

I see this years Austrian entry (3 blokes with plenty of facial hair) came last with 0 points maybe they should have borrowed some of Conchita's frocks!

Eurovision has been as camp as Christmas, for years, now.
Maybe Rylan should give it a go next year.

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2015
The Public Gets What The Public Wants.......
Well they certainly didn't in this years Eurovision, the public wanted ITALY as winners, but instead got their 3rd choice, SWEDEN, thanks to the voting shenanigans of the Juries, who somehow managed to have ITALY only 6th.
Shades of last year when the UK public wanted to give the Polish entry 12 points but the politically correct UK Jury didn't want to give Poland the steam of their piss, so hence Poland got 0 points from the UK.
Do away with the Juries, they have far too big an influence.
