So, we're back on air, after the mini break, partially inserted with the hidden special on Friday morning.

Our newest forumite, David Pooley, is now the champion, but with only 14 shows left before the finals, will he be in with a shout of making it to the finals...... (Note also, since David won last Tuesday, we now can't make it 8 octochamps for this series.... )

Like last week, there's only 2 episodes this week (definitely no secret special this week), but we do have 2 different DC guests, as Chris Hollins finishes his run today, before Louise Minchin returns for her 2nd stint on Tuesday.

I realised earlier today that I'd forgotten most of this programme. Now I know why - I was trying to blank it from my mind! It wasn't a very good performance and on another day I would have scored another 35 points. I knew I'd won after Round 12 (barring a 9 letter word) and I think I just mentally switched off. I wasn't quite prepared for the mental fatigue of filming back-to-back shows. I should have declared the easy 739 for the first numbers ((75-50)x25)+100+10+4 and I don't know how I missed EXOTICA. Add in the final insult of missing the easy 666 numbers and I was glad to leave the studio with another win under my belt.
