I must admit I missed BISECTION, was scrambling my head for the 9, but it wouldn't come (knew it wasn't EBONISTIC or BIONETICS ), but apart from that, maxed it, but that's only 143.

QUORATE in round 1, BORAGES in round 4, TONEMES in round 10, FOREMAST/FORMATES in round 13.

Probably indicative of the different ways we go about solving things. I tend to think of words as the letters are being put up on the board, so I had SECTION for the first seven, and when the last two were added it was an obvious extension. Had the letters gone up in a different order I'd probably have missed it.

Re: Round 12. What do you reckon is more likely of the following;
(a) the sound bite of him selecting a vowel was unclear and it was copy and pasted from somewhere else in the show but someone made a boo-boo with the editing
(b) it was an accident by Rachel, maybe she noticed that an E or a U gave a 9 and expected him to go vowel and went with that
(c) it was a deliberate and maliciously calculated display of feminism by Rachel cos she won't take orders from no goddamn man

Well, she did do that while we were at the recording this week, and redid the round, if you recall. Although, it might've been a bit harder in this case as it was the last letter of the round, and time wouldn't have been there to stop them.
