Spoilers for Thursday October 18th 2012 (Series 67 Prelim 43
Rose Boyle defeated a tough opponent yesterday to get her third win, also putting the magic number for anybody else trying to make the finals at 3 wins in the process. Can she get the 4th today? Win or lose, she should overtake Adam Flinn on the leaderboard today, and only needs to score 64 or more to surpass Baljeet Nijjhar even if she loses.

TUXEDOS (in the OUTSIDE round)
Final numbers ((100+7) x5 ) - 10 = 525

DC offered TIDBIT in round 12 which isn't valid on apterous, is this a new addition in ODE3?

Not sure. Maybe it's not included because it was considered an American spelling of TITBIT? It's ambiguous whether TIDBIT is an American spelling of TITBIT or a distinct word. Got a max game (of sorts, slightly after time with GREATLY and the first numbers. ), but good to see Rose win again. It's a slight shame that she's had some good games, but that they've collapsed near the end, so she hasn't had a crucial yet (although, I'm sure Rose will be relieved of that. ).
HARPIST in round 1, PARVISE in round 3, MODISTE and TIMEOUS in round 7.
Nerdy 3rd Numbers Alt.: ((100 x 7) / (9 - 5)) x (10 - 7) = 525

Nick said Rose was from Inish mor today, which is the largest of the Aran Islands off Galway. previously she had been from Arannmhor, which is off Donegal!

She also called her Doyle, instead of Boyle. Clearly needs to give those glasses a good clean.Malcolm James wrote:Nick said Rose was from Inish mor today, which is the largest of the Aran Islands off Galway. previously she had been from Arannmhor, which is off Donegal!

ODE exclusively states it as an American spelling in this instance, not an American word.

Just played through this on the Wiki, maybe I'm just struggling to see the words and solves because I'm copy and pasting screenshots from the website, rather than the neater interface you get from TV countdown or apterous, but I swear the standard is getting a lot higher with the last few shows.
Both Rose and her recent opponents haven't been slouches (well, there was that guy who blanked the numbers the other day I think, but that's about it).
Nice to see, to be fair, and looks like we'll be having a 2nd female octo in the series if she keeps 9+ maxing.
