Although this wasn't a 100% game, I spotted a 100% game - I got the conundrum a fraction of a second behind Nick (I pressed the first letter but then it locked) and the one letters round where I missed a max, I saw one of the 6s but didn't risk it. Enjoy.

Soooo close - 14/15 maximums and the 15th one my dad got the max and not me. Enjoy this battle of father vs son.

13 maxes is all I have been able to do but I hope to get back on apterous in the next few weeks and try to do better!

Thought I was on for not only a 100% game but also a massive score. Turned out I only got 13 maxes as I bottled the conundrum (I saw it but had never really heard of it) and didn't know the 8 in one letters round.

I didn't post this at the time, but I hold the 9-round high score by 10 clear points, including 8 maxes. Annoyingly the only missed max was a nine, albeit a very improbable one I've never heard of.

I've just got the highest score so far on apterous - I didn't play great - round 2 in particular was a particular embarrassment - and the score could have been even higher (a la Julian on the show) with a tough conundrum that I failed to spot but my dad did.

I just beat Paul Howe 3-1 in 5-second mode, which is pretty good considering his rating was double mine at the start. I'm declaring myself 5-second mode champion. Anyone want to challenge me to a 5-second mode best-of-5 championship match?

That's awesome mate, well done. The Letters Attack record is a bit weak if you want a new objective.

  I'll have you next time, I was starting to get the hang of it in those last two games. Some of those numbers games were awesome though.

I don't know if I should pollute this thread with antibragging, but this game contains the shittiest six round run you're ever likely to see on apterous, it's pure panic distilled in recap form.

Oh yeah and goatdown rocks! Looking forward to the first goatdown daily duel already.

Not really a message of brag but I nearly got a 100% game again - thought I was gonna get it. I had round 5's numbers game just clicked 50x and did a Karen --- I needed to do like 9+5-4 so that was game over for that (403x2). Maxed all the letters and I said I'd be annoyed if I got a max for my first ever time and it doesn't record as I mistyped so Joe made it hard for me and indeed I didn't get the round 14 numbers spot on so 1 max missed (but 2 on the record). I'm not sure what's worse - had he chose 1 large and I got it, I'd have been elated to have done a max game but so annoyed it didn't appear.

Further to the above, if anyone fancies a pop at Rexy there seems to be a bug where he plays shit at timed Goatdown. The less time per round, the shitter he is!

For example, 5 secs per round

http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1548

10 secs per round

http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1543

15 secs per round

http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1545

30 secs per round

Used to come up on Corby's game all the time and I'd still miss it. The first time I spotted it there was the rather lovely CICERONI.

I sincerely apologise because I honestly though that you would've been able to get the 6 small numbers. After double checking, I have found out that the number puzzle had an overall difficulty of 73%, with only 6 possible solutions , sorry.

I stand by what I've said before - if you play as well in the studio as you do online, you'll be very unlucky not to be a series champion.

Another 14 max game. I bottled it in the very last letters round when I accidentally clicked 5 vowels then panicked as I couldn't beat 6 and my dad got the 8. Grrrrrrrr

I did this on Numbers Attack a few days ago, but was a bit embarrassed about posting it here, as pretty much all the games were piss-easy. The two that I only got 7 points on were very doable, but a big score looked on, so I played it safe so as not to wipe out on any rounds.

Anyway, I'm posting it now as I reckon it'll be beaten soon - Jono had a 187 the other day and a 200 looks inevitable in the near future.

Jono's quickest at the conundrum? I don't think so.

Also, yet again I bottled the perfect game - last letters round. I was almost home and dry with a numbers and conundrum to go.

Note: I selected the 9 in round 3 by accident, as I didnt really think it was a word, so Conor would've really scored 144! My highest losing score yet!

I've been somewhat slack (well, a bit of an understatement) in checking my emails. :P Not sure about the texts though, but I ended up getting a new phone after losing my old one.

I'm glad somebody else is a bit scared! Never mind whether it's technically the highest score or whatever, that's definitely the best performance anyone's posted so far (that I've seen). So close - this time it was a numbers solution that let me down so I had to settle with 14/15 maxes. Can't believe I finally max the letters and then bottle a hard numbers game (only 2 solutions apparently)

http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=3070

Edit:

And another 14/15 max game - and yet again it was a numbers round that let me down - was a hard 6 small.

The rounds were flatter than those in Paul's game, but: http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=3298

You offered a mars bar to whoever got a max today without specifically mentioning the show, so I was being facetious. But clearly not funny. I didn't watch today but I don't think the 8 you're referring to is that obscure. In fact it may be one of Jim Bentley's favourite words. And if anyone reads that as a spoiler, punch yourself in the face.
