LENTOUS and COAGENT are both valid in Scrabble, according to the Lexplorer. He might have had another one disallowed but I can't remember.

Well done Chris, another tricky opponent and I was worried for you when you went 20 points down early on. Well done for not letting your head drop and coming back. Karl was certainly good at the letters but his numbers let him down badly.

Forget 80 point wins, impressive though they are, it's the close exciting games with some quality mixed from both players (more Karl admittedly) like this that keep people watching.

It was a tired performance by me and I got very lucky with the scrabble words and some not simple numbers coming up. You could see my disappointment at there being another letters game before round 13 as I was ready for numbers!

Scampi and chips from the canteen then straight onto Thursday...
