It's the 100th prelim of the series, and with a momentous number, it's also possibly a momentous day for Suzi Purcell. She's aiming to be the third octochamp of this series, both the first non apterite and the first female octochamp of the series, and the first female non-apterite octochamp since Cate Henderson back in 2009. Win or lose, her fate appears to be sealed at the present number 3 seed, but the icing on the cake would be nice. Over in Dictionary Corner this week is the return of a frequent guest, news presenter Alastair Stewart. We'll see how he does this stint.
Join Graeme for the possible coronation recap later.

AVOIDANT as a DC beater in round 1
WIRETAPS as another beater in round 13.
Well done to Suzi for making octochamp, thought she'd butter-fingered it after the last numbers. Liked the triumphant waving of arms that she seemed to be doing as the end credits rolled.

24x100 = 2400
2400 + 10 = 2410
2410 / 5 = 482
482 + 25 = 507

John's 488 is of course a typo for 482.
Nice see my old mate Alistair back in the chair.

I'm glad Suzi became an octochamp as she came up with some very good words during her run, although she wasn't at her best today. Very solid but a bit erratic overall
I got ANIMATO in round 1 and was thrilled with that, until I saw Richard's AVOIDANT. DOLERITE as an equaller in round 4 (you can't put the S on).
3rd numbers: (50+(10/10))x((100/25)+3) = 357

Catching up quickly now.
Was very happy with AIGRETTE and RINGETTE until INTEGRATE was spotted by DC in round 2.
RADIAL in round 8, PUNCTAE in round 9 and PASTORIE in round 13.
3rd Numbers Alt.: ((50 - 10 - (100 / 25)) x 10) - 3 = 357
