Spoilers for Thursday April 12th 2012 (Series 66 Prelim 63)
Nathan Steggles disposed of our own Rob Gibney yesterday with some impressive play in his own right. Can he make his own march towards the finals? Still don't know what to say of Jenny Eclair, so I won't.
I will say that James will have his recap ready later.

Several alt number methods - you can work out the details: 15x47=705, 9x109-1=980 and 25x17=425.

I saw Pouva's game and thought it a shame that filaos was disallowed, as when you google it it is a tree indigenous to Mauritius where he's from.
So, it would be like us saying "poplars" or "sycamores". It's obviously not in the OED3 but why not when there are SOOOOO many words put forward from DC that are rare plants and animals from all round the world??

Its not in the ODE3, because its the french name for the tree, Casuarina equisetifolia, the english name is She Oak.Grant Waters wrote:I saw Pouva's game and thought it a shame that filaos was disallowed, as when you google it it is a tree indigenous to Mauritius where he's from.

casuarina is also valid in ODE3; worth noting in case it ever comes up as a conundrum!Alexander Jones wrote:Its not in the ODE3, because its the french name for the tree, Casuarina equisetifolia, the english name is She Oak.
