Spoilers for Tuesday April 3rd 2012 (Series 66 Prelim 56)

Post by Jordan F »

John Bird won with a score of 94 yesterday, including an impressive 9. Can he keep it up and get win number two today? I have not seen Anneka Rice over in the corner, but I can surmise that she has no relation to Sir Tim Rice or one of the football greats here in the states, Jerry Rice. Maybe we'll learn more about this today, or if she knows any other famous Rices.

Join Kieran for the recap later today.

2nd numbers: (75x50+6)/(5-(10/10)) = 939 :D

Or AMATEUR as an alternative.

Also RAVINES as an alternative 7 to INFUSER in R13

Was that the best numbers solution ever by a host? It's the best I can remember.

Surprised DC only had 6 in AMATEUR / MALWARE round. Nick seems to be more settled now than last time I watched a show properly (probably a couple of weeks ago). I think he's doing a good job now, if today is anything to go by.
Mike Brown: "Round 12: T N R S A E I G U

C1: SIGNATURE (18) ["9; not written down"]
C2: SEATING (7)
Score: 108–16 (max 113)

Another niner for Adam and yet another century. Well done, that man."

Alt 1st numbers ((75-9+1)x8)+3+2. For the 3rd numbers I also did 51x9 (as well as 6x75+9) but made the 51 an easier way.
For the 2nd it took me most of the ads to make the 940 Rachel mentioned (same way as John in the time). Well done to her for the solve!

Yeah, I was happy with my 940 method (((75 + 10) x (6 + 5)) + (50 / 10)), but doing that was spectacular. ;) :) :D  :geek: :ugeek: 8-)

SAUTEING in round 3 and DIURNAL in round 12.

1st Numbers Alt.: ((75 - 9 + 2) x 8) - 3 = 541
3rd Numbers Alt.: ((100 - 25) x 6) + 9 = 459

Me too. I don't know if I would have got it in 30 seconds because I didn't watch the programme and I didn't time it - wouldn't have been far off though. Someone saved the numbers rounds for me.
