Ratings update

Post by Charlie Reams »

This is quite a landmark for the ratings as we have now passed one thousand rated games! No single game received this honour, but it was shared among the games in the first round of yesterday's CONOT tournament.

In terms of the rankings themselves, there were no major surprises; Julian continues his meteoric rise despite losing his unbeaten record, and now occupies 4th. Dan Van's superlative performance yesterday lifts him to 8th, and Jason Cullen makes an excellent high entry at 16th.

I also restored the threshold to 6 games (from the erroneous 8 of last time) so some players are marked as New Entries despite not doing anything. Sorry about that.

That link isn't working by the way. Is there a separate thread talking more generally about rated games? I'd like to get myself a rating at some point :D

I assume COGST matches will count in the ratings, even if they are played via Apterous and are therefore rated on Apterous as well.
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?
