When do you get up?
I got up very early today (0800) in an attempt to reset my body clock and get some work done. I have discovered that this has made me feel incredibly tired. In an attempt to make my life more EXCITING I thought I'd start a poll to see when c4cers get up.
I want your modal, weekday getting up (not waking up) time. Mine is currently about noon, but I am trying to change that (something I have attempted on and off for the last 6 years or so).
My options are designed to offer greater resolution around the times I expect most people to respond*. I have not specified seconds, so if you wake up 10 seconds before 7am then pick 0630-0659.
*On retrospect, I may have been being optimistic on this front (although I am still more interested in the 6-9am slot than the general "late because I'm a student lol" slot).

Re: When do you get up?
Of late, no pun intended, it's generally been around the 11 to midday mark. When put like that, midday, it makes me realise just how much of a lazy langball I've been lately. Some days I'll get up a few hours earlier, but I'll also crawl out a couple of hours later on a semi regular basis, depending on what time I've got to sleep at (alternative poll called for I reckon), so I think that's a fair average. Seeing as we only get natural light until around 4-5pm at the moment, I don't think it's a very healthy time to get up and probably half explains why I've been feeling so crap lately, but then, two or three days a week I'm working until between 11pm to 12am and usually like a couple of hours to wind down afterwards so I'll often get to bed quite late.
Re: When do you get up?
Usually around 7am, 10 minutes either side.

Re: When do you get up?
Yeah, this is one of the reasons I'd like to reset. It's not like I oversleep or anything, it's just I usually don't feel tired until about 3-4am (and that's not just because of me getting up late, often I'll deliberately get up early and still not feel tired then), but then it's a bit depressing to get up at 12 or even 1 and then boom, it's night time all of a sudden.Andy Wilson wrote:Seeing as we only get natural light until around 4-5pm at the moment, I don't think it's a very healthy time to get up

I set my radio to come on (R3) at 0815, so that I'm awake for the news headlines at 0830, and get up when there's something on that I don't mind missing while washing etc. (Though sometimes I drop off again, miss the news and am up an hour or so later )

Re: When do you get up?
630 for me, which depressingly is the earliest anyone's voted so far. At weekend that usually gets pushed back to 'whenever I can be arsed'.

Shouldn't be depressing to be the only one so far who gets up at a proper time.

Re: When do you get up?
6.30-7, but that varies between 6 and 9 depending on how tired I am, and how much time I need to make up at work.

Re: When do you get up?
Term time roughly 8am since I live so close to uni. Out of term time roughly 10am although lately I've been on a few epic early morning revision sprees that generally require me to have a power nap at noon and then a fun-time nap at 3.
I voted for the former since that is the modality (albeit marginally)

Re: When do you get up?
I used to wake up really late but nowadays I wake up about 6-7am and it is definitely a positive thing. The feeling of waking up underslept sucks but it's better than waking up late and feeling a bit useless.

Re: When do you get up?
I set my TV to come on at 6:50 for BBC Breakfast and so that way I catch the headlines at 7am and sometimes even stay in bed until about 8am just watching Breakfast. I'm currently juggling a few things so like today I went into work for 8 and only did an hour and half then left at 9:30 to go to a secondary school to mentor sixth form students for their A-level studies. Then I got home about 3pm and actually did THE PAPER ROUND

It's been like it for a while unfortunately since the upgrade.Rosemary Roberts wrote:Is this policy or crap programming?Ryan Taylor wrote:Need to change forum skin to prosilver. Votes don't work on aerogreen.
I can't be bothered to change back and forth to prosilver just to take part in a poll. Not sure what benefits we got from the upgrade really.

Re: When do you get up?
If I'm not opening up at work, then between 7.30am and 8.00am (usually closer to 8) but I've generally been awake for well over an hour by then (hate getting up as soon as I wake up). If I have to open up at work though, it'll more like 6.00am, 6.30am latest, which is a pain in the ass, but at least it's only for eight or ten weeks out of the year.

I realised that Charlie from what you said at the time. You obviously put a lot of work into customising the previous version which appears to have been undone by the upgrade.Charlie Reams wrote:None really, it wasn't my choice.Ian Fitzpatrick wrote:Not sure what benefits we got from the upgrade really.

Normally about 7:28 (7:10 + two 9-minute snoozes) when I'm getting a lift to work. If I'm getting the train about an hour earlier.

Re: When do you get up?
Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences and then click the drop down menu to select Prosilver. You can always change back to Aerogreen once you've voted which is what I used to do but now I've left it on Prosilver and I'm slowly getting used to it. Plus Prosilver is better, just that I have only ever known Aerogreen and become accustomed to using that and didn't want to change.Phil Collinge wrote:Stupid question of the day maybe, but how do you change the skin?Ryan Taylor wrote: Need to change forum skin to prosilver.
