Spoilers For Monday November 8th 2010

Post by James Robinson »

The new week has arrived, as we start to approach judgement day in the series.

With just a month and a day till the finals begin, this series is still too close to call. Oooooh, the excitement. ;) :) :D  8-)

But in the meantime, we have a possible octochamp to crown on Wednesday.

That octochamp-in-waiting happens to be our very own Marcus Hares, who seems to get better and better as the days go on. Can he continue for 3 more shows, which would also guarantee him his final place too :?:

Back in DC, following on from his debut stint in the last series, is former 110m hurdles world record holder, Colin Jackson.

Ryan will be recapping for us later. ;) :) :D

I'd often wondered what Colin Jackson's favourite colour was.

It's solferino.

It's a shade of purple. I was as shocked as you were.

Quiet on this forum today!

Did any one solve the middle numbers in the 30 secs?
Crosswordtools.com says it's 85% difficult.

RESPIRED for equaler in round 1 and PRALINES and PERSONAL in round 3.

Well played Marcus, completely convincing and an almost ruthless performance. 10 maxes out of 15 with 2 of them maxes being very tough (the 2nd numbers game and the conundrum). Don't feeel enough people are giving you enough praise. We've been spoilt for talent this series and it seems to make people blind to good players. Or maybe spoilers threads just are completely dead.

Yeah I did. Kinda. Was skipping through Dictionary Bore-ner on Sky+ as per usual and fast forwarded half way into the numbers round, so paused it and did it.
Pretty sure it was within 30 seconds. This was the (50+9)*8+25 = 497, x2 +2 = 996 one yeah? I was pretty pleased.

Almost as pleased as I was to hear Marcus used to have his nose pierced - pics please Marcus! Another great performance, poor Ryan.

Yeah, well done again, Marcus.

Unlucky Ryan has the unfortunate honour of having the joint worst score by a male contestant on 15-round Countdown, equal with Clive Myers, who lost to Eoin about a month and a half ago.
