Apologies, but I won't be available to make an early recap today due to some last-minute cramming for a quiz this afternoon. However, I will have Tuesday's match on the forum this evening in case anyone wants to relive some small part of the Tim Down Experience.

In the meantime, Michael Lees has become a new champion in the game with the highest joint score of the series so far. Will he make it two on the bounce today? Join JR (I think) to find out.

Decent game today, could have went either way, I don't think there would have been too much between either of these two and our recent Octochamp, Tim Down, although I would make Tim a slight favourite over both of them mainly due to his numbers prowess (although he is prone to slip in the odd shocker).

In round 5, it doesn't match DC but beat the contestants - GARBAS. A significant word because anyone who knows their stemming will know that GARBA is GRAB + A.

I actually knew GRAB + A = GARBA because it's given in a tutorial that someone wrote for aspiring Countdown contestants (maybe on The Countdown Page?) as an example of what a stem is.

It's actually just another old joke. However, reading those comments (and the follow-up gags) has actually made me do a laughing out loud thing though, so that's OK.
