Champion of Champions 1993
Readers may be interested about an incident in my Semi-final with Robert Teuton. As far as I remember, it all came down to the Conundrum. I can't remember how it was put up originally, but the answer was RELAPSING. I buzzed in after about 15 seconds, and offered SPANGLIER, which was wrong. Anyway, after the 30 seconds, Susie Dent (yes she was doing it then) said that SPANGLIER was indeed an allowable word, so the original was edited out, and we had to do a retake, this time with the Conundrum as RELAPSING, and the answer as SPANGLIER. I bet a lot of people didn't think that was a genuine word, me included. I'll relate another memory from the 1991 series soon.

Makes me think about GERANIUMS
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?
