Round 3: T L R S E A U P E

C1: PRELATES (8)

Round 4: M T N K I A O I A

C1: AMINO (5)
C2: MAIN (4)
DC: ANIMATO (7)
OT: ANIMATI (7)

Oh dear, Jack can only muster a 4, letting Peter get even further ahead thanks to his 5. In the meantime, DC celebrate getting a good 7. :D

Too easy for our semi-finalists. 8-)

Dr. Phil talks about his time at a cottage hospital, as well as his petition to stop a landfill being placed in a valley near where lives in Chew Magna, just outside Bristol.

Teatime teaser: RIPEFLED -> PILFERED

Round 6: D V R F E A E G A

C1: wallie
C2: MILAGE (6)
OT: AGLEAM (6) LAMIAE (6) MALLEI (6)
Score: 53–46 (max 62)

Oooooooooooh, is this the first crack in Peter's armour :?: I wouldn't go as far as suggesting he was a wally with that guess, but he has let his lead slip back into single figures.................

C1: MOTIONS (7)
C2: MOTIONS (7)
DC: TONSIL (6) MOIST (5) STOOL (5)

C2: PACED (5)
DC: BEDPAN (6)
OT: CAUBEEN (7)
Score: 65–68 (max 86)

Round 13: X C W R A E I Y D

C1: WAXIER (6)
C2: WAXIER (6)
OT: CARDIE (6) WEIRDY (6)
Score: 78–81 (max 99)

Now all 4 semi-finalists have been WAXIER :!: :P  But, in serious terms now, Jack still has his 3 point advantage. Can he seal his win with another perfect 6 small here, I wonder............... :?

Round 14: 6, 2, 2, 7, 4, 5. Target: 388.

C1: 384.
C2: 388. ((((5 + 4) x 7) + 2) x 6) - 2 (10)
Score: 78–91 (max 109)

YOU BET HE CAN!!!!!!! He might have been a bit unsure with his working out, but he's got it hook, line and sinker, ending Peter's noble challenge. :D

Round 15: I S N O N A M E Y

C1 buzzes on 2 seconds to say ANONYMISE which is correct.
Final Score: 88–91 (max 119)

But, appropriately, Peter is allowed the final say, leaving him to wonder what could've been if he'd got one of those 2 6 smalls............

But, I'm sure he'll still have been proud to be involved in a brilliant, high-tempo, high-action semi-final, which this was. 8-) He certainly should be proud of his achievements, and he gave Jack a very good game. In a way, good practice for him, in what will be a blockbuster final tomorrow, I'm sure. :D

So, tomorrow, join Thomas for the climax of this series: THE GRAND FINAL BETWEEN - #1 Seed Jonathan "The Sheffield Superkid" Rawlinson and, the #2 Seed, Jack "The Blackpool Bazooka" Worsley.

GET STRAPPED IN FOR A FUN-PACKED RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) :) :D  8-)

I'll be back on Wednesday, after what I hope will be a brilliant COHUD tournament co-hosted by myself and Jeff Clayton at the Galpharm on Saturday. I hope those of you who are coming will enjoy the day. ;) :) :D  8-)

So, till then, bye bye. ;) :) :D
